Field-based training courses for geoscience professionals and engineers are provided using modern depositional environments and outcrop examples in Australia. Class-room courses in sedimentology, reservoir characterisation and geostatistics are regularly provided to clients from industry and government agencies in Australia, Africa and Southeast Asia. We provide customized training itineraries to individuals and organisation requiring training in sedimentology, reservoir characterisation or reservoir modeling.
We have extensive experience in the sedimentology and reservoir modeling of fluvial, lacustrine, deltaic, shallow and deep marine strata in Australia, Southeast Asia and North Africa. This includes detailed core sedimentology at field and regional (exploration lease) scales. Sequence stratigraphic interpretation of cores, logs and seismic forms one of the cornerstones of our approach. Where available image logs are included to extend detailed sedimentological interpretation beyond cored intervals. Studies range in scope from a single core to field-wide reviews of the reservoir geology and static modeling as part of FDP studies to regional synthesis of data into consistent regional facies models.
